The WNBA is featuring a two game slate to kick off the weekend. Let’s take a look at some names who can help get you into the green on Friday night.

The night kicks off with Tina Charles and the Liberty heading south to meet with the Dream. Both teams are battling to maintain their positions as the season heads towards the playoffs.

The defending champion Los Angeles Sparks will head to Minnesota in a finals rematch as well as a potential finals preview. Both teams are playing well above the rest of the teams in the league and will look to get an edge over the other in preparation for a playoff run.

In this post, all salary and “fantasy points” references are to FanDuel scoring system and salaries. If you have any additional questions or thoughts or are looking for updates as we approach tip-off, follow @FanSidedFantasy on Twitter.

Let’s get started!

High Salary Guard

Layshia Clarendon – Atlanta Dream ($7,100) There isn’t really a lot of value up front on Friday night so we will need to save our pennies. In any event, if you decide to spend up on the guards then you will have to look at Layshia Clarendon. Clarendon has seen her production drop over the past few games but one of those games was against Minnesota so she should get a free pass. New York is not Minnesota so she will be just fine.

Brittney Sykes – Atlanta Dream ($6,700) Why Brittney Sykes is only priced $400 below Layshia Clarendon is beyond me because if I am able to afford one of the two, it would be Clarendon. However, Sykes isn’t a bad player and if you find yourself looking to stack on Friday night, these two aren’t a bad way to go. The potential rookie of the year is having a great season and averaging 20 fantasy points per game. She has been very inefficient shooting as of late but she should bounce back eventually.

Chelsea Gray – Los Angeles Sparks ($5,700) Chelsea Gray is a steal at that price in my opinion. It is not out of the question for her to take 10-12 shots per game and is often overlooked due to being on the same team as Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike. As mentioned previously, we need to save some cap space for the expensive forwards. Gray isn’t a bad way to go.

Odyssey Sims – Los Angeles Sparks ($5,400) If you are looking for a better stacking opportunity at a much lower price than Layshia Clarendon and Brittney Sykes, why not roll with Odyssey Sims and Chelsea Gray. Sims is very “hot and cold” but has actually been very consistent as of late, averaging 24 fantasy points over the past four games. There is always a risk when having her in your lineup but the potential is always there for her to break out.
