The second round of the 2017 PGA Championship was supposed to be finished on Friday, but got suspended. What time will it start on Saturday?

The 2017 PGA Championship was supposed to be halfway done by the end of Friday, August 11. However, darkness forced the tournament to make some changes, suspending play before everyone got finished the second round.

With the third round scheduled for Saturday, play will resume then. However, it will be mighty early. The third round starts at 11:00 a.m. ET, when the first of the pairings will tee off. Third round pairings and tee times will not be announced until after everyone is done the second round. The second round will resume at 7:30 a.m. ET on Saturday.

Entering Saturday, Kevin Kisner and Hideki Matsuyama are both at eight strokes under par. They share the top spot of the leaderboard. However, Jason Day is breathing down their necks, down just two strokes. Francesco Molinari, Louis Oosthuizen and Chris Stroud are each three strokes behind the leaders.

After two rough days, Jordan Spieth is three strokes over par. He’s 11 strokes behind Matsuyama and Kisner, but if anyone’s capable of pulling off a miracle comeback, it’s him. Spieth is trying to win his first PGA Championship. A victory would give him a win in each of the four majors, which is a rare accomplishment.

So far, the final tournament of the 2017 PGA Tour has appropriately been full of surprises. The season has been defined by surprises and newcomers winning. Kisner and Matsuyama will try to win and get into the mainstream. Many would argue the latter is already famous. However, Matsuyama is still not nearly as well known as he ought to be as one of the most talented golfers on the tour. A win would be monumental for his career. The same goes for Kisner.
