While Quail Hollow is a normal stop on the PGA Tour, this is the first time the Charlotte Golf Course has hosted a major tournament event, either the U.S. Open or the PGA Championship. Through roughly two rounds of golf, the two leaders heading into Saturday are American Kevin Kisner and Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama. They are tied at eight under on the tournament.
Australia’s Jason Day is in third place two strokes back of Kisner and Matsuyama at six under on the tournament. Italy’s Francesco Molinari and South Africa’s Louis Oosthiuzen are tied for fourth place three strokes back back of the co-leaders at five under through two days of action.
