SummerSlam’s card still has some question marks surrounding it with the Biggest Party of the Summer approaching rapidly. But, with Braun Strowman hitting Roman Reigns in the face with a freakin’ office chair and Rusev crushing Randy Orton, there was still some fun to enjoy this week.

WWE has some matters to address heading into SummerSlam two Sundays from now, but there’s still plenty of good that they should be commended for and it basically comes back to Braun Strowman hitting Roman Reigns in the face with a chair from STAPLES.

Also, it’s never a bad thing when Brock Lesnar decides that he wants to morph into Godzilla and destroy anything that’s within 50 feet of him. Rusev crushing anyone is always enjoyable as well, especially when human molasses, better known as Randy Orton, is the handsome Bulgarian’s target.

With just about 10 days left (and no sleep) until Brooklyn, there’s some glaring holes in the SummerSlam card. Who is going to be the No. 1 contender to the RAW Women’s Championship? It’s going to be Sasha Banks, but let’s be dramatic. Why is Enzo Amore ripping off Chris Jericho’s shark cage gimmick from the Royal Rumble match with Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns? Why is Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt the most boring feud on the card for Brooklyn?

Oh, and one more thing: why is there 11 matches on this card? It’s clear that WWE has tried to turn SummerSlam into the diet version of WrestleMania with a four-hour show, but 11 matches — including four non-interesting singles matches — is just too much. And that’s without the RAW Tag Team title being defended by the most boring tag team not named the Shining Stars!

Despite all of the “meh” surrounding SummerSlam, there’s no need to fear, nerds … there’s a fresh batch of power rankings that you’re going to enjoy more than the show itself. Oh, it’s true. It’s true.

(Disclaimer: The wrestlers chosen for this power rankings list only appear on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live, so that means no NXT/205Live specific stars are on this list.)
