T.J. Watt had an impressive debut for the Steelers on Friday night and Kendrick Lamar took notice. He also made sure to let J.J. know.
There wasn’t a whole lot to take away Friday night from the preseason game between the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers, but one of the main talking points to come out of the contest definitely surrounded rookie T.J. Watt out of Wisconsin. T.J. younger brother of one of the best defensive players in the NFL, J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans, made his presence felt in his first game of NFL action by recording not one, but two sacks in the first quarter of the game alone.
The performance by T.J. Watt was more than enough to have his older brother immediately reacting on Twitter following the first sack alone.

You might think that brother J.J. was the most famous person to take notice of the effort, however, that’s not really the case. No, someone else was mighty impressed by what the Wisconsin Badgers product was doing on the field Friday night — that person being rapper Kendrick Lamar.
You see, Watt was in a meeting on Friday and had gotten out just before the game started. Well when he got out of the meeting, Watt had known what his little brother was doing because, well, Lamar was really the one to tell him.
Now it doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been in the NFL. If Kendrick Lamar someone like Kendrick Lamar is raving about you, then you know you’re doing something right. Lamar was quick to get on the phone with J.J. which, quite frankly, is pretty awesome when you think about it.

Hell, more performances like this and the younger Watt will be getting praised by more and more celebrities in due time. They don’t get much bigger than Kendrick Lamar, though.
