Ric Flair was hospitalized on Saturday morning, but a representative said that it was just a routine check-up for The Nature Boy.

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair is a national treasure when it comes to professional wrestling, or the sports world in general, so fans would like to see Flair become immortal and never have anything bad happen. That’s why, when Flair ended up in the hospital on Saturday, the wrestling world panicked about the health of one of the all-time greats.

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Flair was taken to an ICU by his family on Saturday, and one representative for Flair took to social media to address the situation and downplay it as much as possible.

“Yes, Ric is checked into a hospital for some routine monitoring,” the representative said. “No, there is no reason to panic.”

The representative added some more information, saying that they wouldn’t be able to answer too many questions about the situation. He did add, however, that The Nature Boy of course wouldn’t want this news to hinder any fans ability to go out and have fun this weekend, maybe in a jet or limousine in true Flair fashion.

“Yes, we’d like to thank his fiancé & the incredible hospital staff who are providing the best care,” the rep said. “No, we cannot answer any personal questions. Yes, Ric would want you to go out and have a great weekend, Nature Boy style!”

At 68 years old, any hospitalization for anyone of that age could be scary, especially for someone in the professional wrestling world. But, as long as his representation is telling the truth, it looks like this is all harmless at the moment, and we should hopefully see The Nature Boy back to normal soon.
