According to a report from PWInsider, former three-time Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole has signed a deal with WWE and will be making his debut soon.

If you don’t know the name Adam Cole, you better get used to hearing that name — baybay!

PWInsider had the initial report and Pro Wrestling Sheet later confirmed that Cole has signed a deal with WWE and is set to make his debut soon. PWInsider also reported that Cole will report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando to begin training prior to working in NXT.

Ever since Cole was kicked out of the Bullet Club this summer by Kenny Omega — during the debut of Marty Scurll in BC — the rumors were hotter than a stove about Cole coming to WWE at some point shortly after.

There had been no official reports on Cole’s future plans, but the writing was on the wall for Cole to make the move, especially with other Ring of Honor names like Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish already in NXT.

With Cole in the picture, it gives NXT a huge jolt in the arm moving forward past Brooklyn. As strong as the brand has been in recent years, it’s been lacking some real star power in Orlando with a departure list that includes Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, The Revival and each of the Four Horsewomen.

Cole may not be the biggest performer, but he’s one of the best you’ll see in WWE. He’s a fantastic talker and would be one of the absolute best in the company upon his official arrival. He’s the only three-time ROH Champion in history and for good reason.

The question is, how will Cole debut in NXT? NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III is this Saturday night and the usual move for WWE has been placing an incoming star in a ringside seat during a show, but who knows with Adam Cole, baybay.
