Ric Flair underwent surgery on Monday, and he’s reportedly out of surgery and resting up at the moment

The entire professional wrestling world banded together on Monday with their thoughts and prayers, as it was revealed “Nature Boy Ric Flair, who was admitted to the hospital over the weekend, was put into a medically-induced coma and would undergo surgery.

A few short hours after that news broke, TMZ Sports is now reporting that Flair has undergone the procedure on Monday, is out of the operating room and is resting with his family around him. This is good news for now, however, the 16-time world champion is not completely out of the woods just yet. The family with Flair will be meeting with the doctors.

This past Saturday, Pro Wrestling Sheet was the first to report that Flair had been admitted to the hospital, and at the time, a rep for him stated that it was just for some routine monitoring. Monday, though, is when we would come to find out that the situation was much worse than originally thought, as the leader of the Four Horsemen was dealing with some heart-related issues. Those issues, ultimately, led to the surgery that was performed on Monday.

Again, not much is known about what Flair is dealing with in recent days, so it’s hard to even speculate at this point what the best case scenario for all of this could be. It’s all really happened so fast, from Flair being admitted to the hospital on Saturday morning to the news of the emergency surgery taking place on Monday afternoon.

All we could do right now is keep Flair and his family in our thoughts and hope the Nature Boy can pull through this adversity he’s facing in his life at the moment with his health.
