2. Paulie Malignaggi

If it weren’t for his commitment to the commentary for Mayweather versus McGregor, you better believe “Money” would be asking Malignaggi to walk him out to the ring.

For those of you who don’t know the story, Malignaggi was the former training partner of McGregor but left the position after seeing how poorly he was being portrayed by the camp on social media.

Malignaggi continued to stir the pot with stories about the sparring sessions that sprinkled a little doubt on McGregor’s capabilities inside the ring. Of course, Mayweather and his team saw the sparring sessions that had everyone in an uproar but didn’t see the big deal being made out of it.

Then, after explaining himself constantly, Malignaggi revealed that he would like to fight McGregor sometime next year due to the bad blood formed between the two. McGregor has since dismissed Malignaggi but there could be a fight to be made from all of this.

In the same effect that Ferguson would have, Malignaggi may be the next man in line for McGregor. Having this huge target on your back after this super fight will not only be tiring but distracting in more ways than one.

Also, although the sparring video showcased some of McGregor’s skills, it may not have served him the justice thought it would. In a tailored video clip, McGregor is going to look fantastic against someone like Malignaggi but maybe there is more to the story.

Clearly, Malignaggi has rubbed McGregor the wrong way after all of the allegations he’s made about McGregor’s skills and character. Mayweather could capitalize on this feud by inviting Malignaggi to walk him out to the ring.
