With rumors of Brock Lesnar leaving WWE swirling, Barclays Center has him advertised for the RAW after SummerSlam

This Sunday night at SummerSlam, the main event will be contested between four men, as Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship. Now the main storyline surrounding this match doesn’t necessarily revolve around just the title, as Paul Heyman recently announced that should his client lose the big red strap, then they will leave WWE. Of course, this led further speculation that Brock is heading back to the UFC to get ready for a potential superfight with light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, but that’s a different story for a different day.

Still, everyone has been wondering whether or not the “Beast Incarnate” will drop the strap at SummerSlam, which means everyone is looking for some sort of clue or hint as to that actually taking place on Sunday. Well, the biggest clue so far may have come from the venue that’s hosting the event.

On Wednesday, the Twitter account for Barclays Center ran an ad where they are advertising Brock Lesnar, the WWE Universal Champion, to appear the night after in the same building for the RAW show that will be taking place.

Naturally, this had everyone on the internet freaking out all over the place, with cries of “SPOILER ALERT!” being heard loudly.

The thing is, though, there’s a chance this isn’t a spoiler at all. In the storied history of professional wrestling, venues have advertised some things in advance that aren’t really what they seem. For example, Brock could lose the title at SummerSlam, then the following night on RAW, they could run a segment where he and his advocate, Paul Heyman, cut a promo saying “goodbye” to the WWE Universe. Hell, you could take things a step further and say Brock annihilates someone on his way out, setting up an angle for his potential return down the road.

Also, Barclays Center advertising him as the “WWE Universal Champion” doesn’t necessarily give much away at all because, you know, he is the champion right now during the time of the announcement.

Or, maybe the tweet is exactly what it appears to be and one of the biggest matches of the year was just spoiled on the good old internet, that is indeed a possibility as well.

This is professional wrestling, though, so fans will take this for what they choose, regardless of logic or reason. We won’t know anything definitive until Sunday night following the main event of SummerSlam.
