Marco Asensio once again proved that he is one of the best young stars in the world with this amazing goal in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup on Wednesday

There’s really no question that Real Madrid have one of the best young strikers in the world in 21-year-old Marco Asensio. It’s truly scary to believe he’s as good as he is at such a young age, and to think that he will only get better as time goes on is an even scarier thought. Early on in the second leg of the 2017 Spanish Super Cup on Wednesday, Asensio made sure that El Clasico rival Barcelona know he’s set to be quite the thorn in their side.

A little over five minutes into the match, with Real Madrid coming in up 3-1 on aggregate over the weekend, Asensio put his club in even better position by firing in this amazing, long-range goal that had everyone in awe when it hit the back of the net.

I mean, come on now, that’s just silly. Asensio fired that in the net with such precision from such a long range that it’s hard not to appreciate.

Even with the lead on aggregate, Real Madrid needed someone on the club to step up, given the high-profile suspension of Cristiano Ronaldo. Over the weekend in the win over Barcelona, Ronaldo earned himself a five-game suspension when, after he picked up a second yellow card, he proceeded to shove an official. Of course, that you can’t do, so Ronaldo will not play in Wednesday’s match nor the following four La Liga matches that are coming up.

Everything on that front seems to be okay, though, as long as Asensio is going to be striking in goals like this one we saw on Wednesday.
