Project Runway season 16 premiere: Watch online

Project Runway returns with its season 16 premiere. Hosted by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, this season will shake things up, so here’s how to watch online.

If you haven’t heard yet, this season of Project Runway will be special. Project Runway has decided to incorporate size-inclusive models into their show, which obviously, sounds like a really good, if not overdue, decision.

However, it appears that many of season 16’s contestants felt caught off guard.

To which, one of our beloved hosts, Heidi Klum, says:

"“But this is the real world. Not everyone is, you know, runway figure or what the runway figure used to be. You have to dress real people, and real people come in different sizes: short, tall, more voluptuous, skinny. There is many of us, and so a real designer needs to know how to do that. So get with it.”"

In other words, not all of us look like Heidi Klum. I think it’s fair that if you want to call yourself the best designer, then you should be able to design for everyone. It’s like I don’t want a computer expert who only knows how to deal with Windows Vista, right?

Now, let’s check out the synopsis for the season premiere, as provided by TV Guide:

"In the Season 16 premiere, the designers must create a red-carpet look that demonstrates their fashion point-of-view, but the real surprise comes when the designers learn they will be working with models of all sizes. Guest judge Olivia Munn joins."

Where are the Olivia Munn fans? She’s kind of funny on Instagram, and I guess she made an okay Psylocke. But I really loved her on Newsroom, though. I just don’t know if that’s because I loved Newsroom or her character in particular. Everyone was equally dry, so it’s hard to say.
