Floyd Mayweather plans to party entire week of Conor McGregor fight
By Mike Dyce
Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather is planning on partying the entire week leading into his super fight with Conor McGregor.
Floyd Mayweather is feeling pretty confident heading into his super fight with UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. He is undefeated and one of the best fighters of all time, while his opponent has never had a professional boxing bout, why shouldn’t he? So confident
So confident in fact, Mayweather plans to start his post-fight celebration by partying all week leading up to the bout. Starting on Thursday, Aug. 17, Mayweather will party for nine nights before the McGregor fight, the night of the fight, and a couple nights after that.
Not only is Mayweather partying, he is inviting fans to come in and ask him anything you want in the flesh.
Now on the surface, this seems crazy right? Mayweather is partying instead of preparing for the fight?
Not exactly. Mayweather will, of course, be preparing for the fight. He will likely continue working out as usual. But Mayweather is also a business man, and he knows how much attention he has because of this fight and the establishment he will be partying at he also just so happens to own.
So this is a stunt and effort to get the strip clubs name out there and people in the door, all for the hope of chatting with Mayweather.
Then, of course, there is the gambling side of things, and this version of events is a bit more of a stretch but one to consider. The lines have shifted drastically making Conor McGregor less of an underdog than some of Mayweather’s most formidable opponents. Mayweather is also a man who likes to gamble, and he might be looking for anything to shift the odds to make them more even so a bet on himself would be more profitable.
