The rumors were true. After reports came flying in just days before NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III that former Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole had signed with WWE, the three-time champ made his anticipated debut on Saturday night.
ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!
It’s true. Adam Cole has signed a deal with WWE and he is officially on the NXT roster after making his highly-anticipated WWE debut at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III on Saturday night.
Cole, the only three-time world champion in Ring of Honor’s history and a former member of Bullet Club, arrived on the scene on Saturday at TakeOver to a raucous ovation after Drew McIntyre became the new NXT Champion.

After the appearance of reDRagon, the dynamic tag team of Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish earlier in the show after the tag team title match between Authors of Pain and SAnitY, one of ROH’s biggest stars arrived on the scene in Brooklyn. It didn’t take long for Adam Cole (BAYBAY!) to make a big-time statement with the duo to conclude the show.
Since his first title victory in ROH back in 2013 over Michael Elgin, Cole has become one of the hottest stars in the business today and one of the best wrestlers that hasn’t spent time in WWE. He tried out for the NXT brand back in 2013 but stayed the course with Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla to become a mega-star on the independent circuit.
With Cole in the fold down in Full Sail working on Wednesday nights, the NXT brand gets a huge shot to the arm in its main event scene with his arrival.

Despite his small frame, Cole is easily one of the best workers around and is as entertaining as any performer alive. WWE fans are in for a huge treat with the Panama City Playboy on WWE programming, baybay.
