Leicester face Brighton at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, Aug.19. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Leicester opened up their Premier League campaign with a devastating 4-3 loss to Arsenal, where they lead two separate times in the match. Jamie Vardy scored twice for the Foxes but it wasn’t enough to get the win. Craig Shakespeare’s club will be playing their home opener against newly-promoted Brighton, who also lost their first match of the season. Only half of Leicester’s style of counter-attacking worked for them last match. It may prove to be tough for the home side to continue that style against Brighton, however, as they will certainly bunker defensively as well.
Brighton opened up their season at home with one of their toughest tests of the season against Manchester City. For just over a half, they played mistake-free defense. However, one errant pass in their half of the pitch proved to be just enough for City to capitalize on. An own goal later on would seal the loss for the Seagulls. Up against a club that doesn’t value possession in Leicester, they could find themselves with a few more chances than they did against City. Brighton only registered two shots on target the last match, neither of which seriously threatened keeper Ederson.
