NXT TakeOVer: Brooklyn is always an insane event during SummerSlam weekend, and this year shouldn’t disappoint. Here’s when it starts.

SummerSlam has become an entire weekend in the WWE Universe, and one of WWE’s biggest stretches of the year will start with a fan-favorite: NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III on Saturday night.

After the insane card put on last year, with Samoa Joe battling Shinsuke Nakamura for the NXT title and The Revival going up against DIY for the NXT tag titles, there’s a lot to live up to this year for the “developmental” brand. While it’s not as loaded of a card, this year is still incredibly promising, especially with the main event.

It’s not anything like Joe and Nakamura, but this year’s main event features NXT champion Bobby Roode defending his belt against Drew McIntyre on Saturday night in what is sure to be a solid matchup to get the crowd hot for what’s to come on Sunday night. Meanwhile, Asuka will defend the women’s title against Ember Moon, and The Authors of Pain will defend the tag titles against SAnitY.

Fans definitely won’t watch to miss the action on the WWE Network on Saturday, so you’ll want to mark the start time for the event in your phone or on your calendar (if you’re into that physical paper calendar stuff) as soon as possible. The event starts at 8 p.m., with a pre-show starting at 7 p.m. for fans who are looking to add an extra hour to their TakeOver night on Saturday.

It’s the perfect solution for fans looking to get a whole long weekend full of wrestling, so be sure to tune in on the WWE Network for the third installment of one of Brooklyn’s biggest attractions over the last three years.
