Twin Peaks synopsis: The Return part 15
By David Rouben
Part 15 of Twin Peaks: The Return will have the Herculean task of living up to its predecessor. How does the plot change with these new revelations?
All of the abstract elements introduced to Twin Peaks during Part 8 are starting to come together. During a visit to Jack Rabbit’s Palace, Andy came face-to-face with the Fireman. He also saw images from that episode, including the homeless men at the convenience store. And the bug that crawled into somebody’s mouth at the end turned out to be Sarah Palmer, who is suddenly a murderous psychopath.
The Sarah Palmer reveal isn’t quite the same as finding out Leland killed his own daughter. We knew something was up with her when she had repeated visions during the original series. But it does change the plot in a number of ways. It forces the viewer to go back and watch her scenes to piece things together. Is it possible that she also had a hand in Laura Palmer’s death?
We were also re-introduced to Naido, who we hadn’t seen since the third episode. According to Andy, she’s going to be very important to the story the rest of the way.
Here’s the synopsis for “The Return: Part 15”, according to TV Guide:
"There’s some fear in letting go."
As amazing as the last Twin Peaks episode was, it didn’t contain a single scene of either Dale Cooper. Ever since he became Dougie Jones, fans have been speculating that this is the episode in which he’ll finally wake up. This is, after all, the 15th episode of the third season, and 315 was his room number in the Great Northern. Cooper even had his room key when he first came out of the Black Lodge.

The revelation that Diane is Dougie Jones’ sister-in-law adds a layer of complexity to the Cooper storyline. The scene in which they reunite will be one of the most anticipated of the home stretch.
