WWE SummerSlam 2017: Cesaro destroys the crowd’s beach ball (Video)
By Luke Norris
Cesaro apparently doesn’t like beach balls and obliterated one during the RAW Tag Team Championship Match at WWE SummerSlam.
There’s plenty of ways to get heel heat from a raucous crowd but Cesaro may have just taken the all-time crown with his actions at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Sunday night.
About 10 minutes into the Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins match for the RAW Tag Team Championship, a beach ball began to make its way around the crowd in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. At one point, the ball made its way over the barricade into the ringside area, only to have an usher or security guard send it back into the crowd so they could have some more fun with it.
The entire thing was thankfully visible as it was on the side opposite the main camera and the beach ball began to make its way to the right but it wouldn’t make it too far. Enter Cesaro and the greatest heel move in the history of the world.
Are you freaking kidding me? How glorious (sorry, Bobby Roode) was this whole sequence? The crowd was quick to jump all over him and as to be expected, Twitter exploded almost immediately.
Trust me, there’s plenty more where that came from. Cesaro may have gotten the best of that beach ball but he and Sheamus couldn’t get past Ambrose and Rollins as the former Shield members won the RAW Tag Team Championship. But honestly, that really doesn’t matter as Cesaro has cemented his place in history as the guy who destroyed the beach ball at SummerSlam. Get that Hall of Fame ring ready now, Vince.
