The Los Angeles Chargers will play once again in the StubHub Center on Sunday, as they welcome the New Orleans Saints to town.

For the second week in a row, the Los Angeles Chargers will host a game inside the StubHub Center. After being blown out in their home opener last week against the Seattle Seahawks, the Chargers welcome Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints to town on Sunday night. The two teams have had joint practices all week leading up the game, which should be an exciting matchup.

Despite being blown out in the opener, the Chargers did have some bright spots, including quarterback Philip Rivers. The ageless Rivers connected on two scores before giving way to the backups, showing that the Chargers offense should be explosive again in 2017. The Saints were beaten on the road against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, though star quarterback Drew Brees did not play.

Both of these teams are fringe playoff contenders, with both playing in two very tough divisions. However, they both should have high-octane offenses in 2017, as the Saints added running back Adrian Peterson, and the Chargers have a healthy Keenan Allen back. The issues for both of these teams will be their defense, as neither showed up in the Saints 35-34 win against the Chargers last October inside Qualcomm Stadium.

For Saints quarterback Drew Brees, this had to be a special week, as the game is a matchup between the two teams he has played for in his career. A future Hall of Famer, Brees has fond memories of his time with the Chargers, but his career really took off once the team move on from him. The Chargers have had a solid quarterback in Rivers since Brees left, with both men having tremendous playing careers.
