If you’re looking for some Game of Thrones counter-programming, here are all the details you need to watch The Last Ship season 4 premiere online or on TV.

Not enough people pay attention to The Last Ship, but it’s a really underrated show. Of course, the fact that it was unexpectedly (though appropriately) delayed for a second time ahead of season 4 doesn’t help. But anyone who has stuck with the show and wants to find out more about the new virus and what the rest of the Nathan James crew are up to … well, you’re in for a treat.

I’m sure by now you know that TNT already renewed The Last Ship for a fifth season. But since that’s still a while away, let’s just focus on the 10 episodes ahead of us now. For me, I’m most excited to see the return of some of my faves. Like, it’s been way too long since I’ve seen Eric Dane on my television. Since he first appeared as Mark Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy in 2006, I’ve noticed that I will start experiencing withdrawals when he’s off my TV for too long. The couple of years between Grey’s Anatomy and The Last Ship? Not good.

Let’s check out the synopsis for The Last Ship season 4 premiere, courtesy of TV Guide:

"In the Season 4 premiere, Nathan James faces yet another global disaster 16 months after thwarting the coup in America."

We do know it’s going to be a two-hour season premiere, but reports tease that the end of the first hour will see a crewmember’s life hanging in the balance. Obviously, that leads us to believe Chandler will be back on the Nathan James soon, but who knows.
