Here are the matches scheduled for the WWE SummerSlam 2017 Kickoff Show, which takes place two hours before the pay-per-view event.
As we all know, WWE SummerSlam 2017 is now just hours away. The Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be packed for the biggest night of the summer, and will get a special treat prior to the actual card.
Two hours before SummerSlam goes live, WWE will present the SummerSlam 2017 Kickoff Show. Exclusively on the WWE Network, you will get a full preview of the night’s action from Renee Young and a panel of special guests. In addition, three matches will entertain the fans to warm them up for a huge night.
The WWE Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line as Akira Tozawa defends the belt against former champ Neville. The “King of the Cruiserweights” had been on a vicious tear through the entire 205 Live roster and looked borderline unstoppable until this week. Tozawa has stepped his game up since getting under the guidance of Titus O’Neil, but will it be enough to retain the strap now that Neville will be seeking revenge?
There will also be a six-man tag team match on the Kickoff Show, as Jason Jordan will team up with Matt and Jeff Hardy to face The Miz and The MIztourage (Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas). Jordan has been the center of a lot of talk in recent weeks after Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced he was Jason Jordan’s father. The Miz has been a thorn in a lot of sides lately, and could very well end up suffering a horrible Twist of Fate this Sunday night.
And finally, The New Day and The Usos will write another chapter in their story. After battering each other all over arenas in every city and even competing in a rap battle, these two teams will face off one more time at SummerSlam. Can The New Day retain the gold, or will the titles go back to the Uso Penitentiary?
