RAW Tag Team Championship Match

Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins

What we learned: The biggest thing we learned here is that Cesaro HATES beach balls. Seriously, was that not the greatest heel move you’ve ever seen in your entire life? Of course, we also learned that Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are all BFF again, which is nice.

This really was a great match from all four of the competitors involved and was one of the best of the night. The former Shield partners got the momentum early on with some nice teamwork on the champs, but Cesaro and Sheamus got the upper hand with some big hits outside. That Brogue Kick from Sheamus to Ambrose was fantastic and the double slam to Rollins was great as well. They kept up the onslaught for a while with some classic tag team isolation until the tide turned and the last five minutes of this match was a whirlwind.

There was so much great back and forth in those last few minutes with kicks and clotheslines and suplexes and rolling sentons and submission holds, and while that crazy hurricanrana spot didn’t quite connect at 100 percent, it was still pretty sweet. As expected by most, Rollins and Ambrose won the title and had a fun post-match celebration with the fists and all that goes with that.

What’s next: As we’ll see a lot over the next few weeks with all of the title changes we got at SummerSlam, Cesaro and Sheamus will have a rematch coming to them, and I’m down for another round between these two teams. I only wish that we were a few months back and that WWE would resurrect Bash at the Beach so we could have the entire ring surrounded by beach balls for Cesaro to pop.
