Updated NBA power rankings of suffering
In the NBA, there are certain fanbases that seem like they never have a chance to turn their fortunes around. From chaotic management to draft busts to playoff droughts, here’s a power ranking of NBA suffering.
Every year, it seems like certain fanbases across the NBA continue to suffer watching their beloved team. Optimistic summers fade away, their team steps out onto the court and it’s just as bad as it was last year.
Just as there are horrible teams that can’t seem to get out of their own way, there are teams that seem have a lot of luck — or a good general manager — and can’t turn around without tripping over success and good fortune.
With the offseason behind us, every NBA franchise has had free agency and the draft to try and change their direction. Let’s take a look at updated power rankings of the longest-suffering fanbases in the NBA.
30. Golden State Warriors
Um, does this really need an explanation? The Golden State Warriors have two of the three best players in the world on their roster. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green would also be considered top-25 NBA players.
Those four players could be together for a long, long time and have no foreseeable reason to split up — unless one of them wants to be the man on his own show, cough Kyrie Irving cough.
The Warriors employ one of the best general managers in the NBA and have one of the best coaches in Steve Kerr.
Golden State captured two of the last three NBA Championships and have the potential to win the next four or five, depending on what LeBron James decides to do in NBA Free Agency in the summer of 2018.
The fans in the Bay Area will be taking over a brand new Arena in beautiful San Francisco starting 2019 to probably cheer on the four-time defending champion Warriors by that time.
Golden State is built for the present and the future and so their fans don’t have any suffering coming any time soon.
