21. Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies are an interesting team to power rank. They’re never good enough to compete for an NBA championship, but never bad enough to fall completely out of the NBA Playoffs.

They’re always in the mix for home-court in the first round, but never really a threatening team in the Western Conference. Come playoffs, their fans are usually waving the yellow towels around in the Grindhouse and cheering their team on.

They haven’t dealt with much suffering in the last 5-10 years and I don’t expect them to do so any time soon, with Mike Conley and Marc Gasol in the fold. Their head coach, David Fidale, became lovable after his rant in the Western Conference Playoffs.

The Grizzlies haven’t advanced past the Western Conference Finals, but I’m sure their fans are quite satisfied with the blue-collar, hard-working mentality of their team. Don’t anticipate much suffering in Memphis any time soon.
