20. Utah Jazz

I feel like the Utah Jazz are another one of those teams that are difficult to place on these power rankings. Since the glory days with John Stockton and Karl Malone, the Jazz have had some success but not quite reached the heights of those teams. Now it appears they have finally found their stride.

They built through the NBA Draft — the only way for small-market teams to find success these days. They added Gordon Hayward, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles and made their way into the playoffs. They developed each year behind head coach Quin Snyder, yet never to a championship level.

Jazz fans got to be part of the ride and enjoy the growth of their team. But, Gordon Hayward chose to leave for Boston and the Jazz experiment might have run its course.

But it’s still a good roster with Gobert as the focal point and Snyder as the head coach. Jazz fans might not see the same level of success, but there won’t be a huge drop off.
