Updated NBA power rankings of suffering

10. Charlotte Hornets

They may have Michael Jordan as their owner, but that doesn’t mean he’s 27 again and ready to throw on a Hornets’ jersey and play for Charlotte. The Hornets have Kemba Walker and a few other solid players, but that hasn’t added up to much success in the postseason.

It’s tough to place the Hornets’ fans on these power rankings because they don’t necessarily fit anywhere. They haven’t been around long enough to be at the bottom like New York, but aren’t really good enough to be higher either.

Although they’re in the Eastern Conference, their outlook is rather bleak with a roster full of secondary stars — collaborative talent, if you get my drift — and won’t be contending any time soon.

While they’ll win some regular season games, it’s still not enough to save fans from their suffering in the recent times.
