8. Sacramento Kings

Long gone are the days of the Western Conference battles between the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers. Those two teams have been the bottom dwellers of the Western Conference for a while now, and it might not change for a few seasons.

For the Kings, they’ve been competing for the ping pong balls of the lottery, far more often than they’ve been competing for titles. They haven’t been able to land a franchise player and even when they did, it was the complicated and fiery DeMarcus Cousins..

Poor ownership and front-office management have put the fans through a lot of suffering. At least they’ll be losing in a new Arena, right? There’s a good future ahead for the Kings with De’Aaron Fox and their young crop of players.

But in a tough Western Conference, I don’t expect to see them in the playoffs any time soon.
