At Gamescom, a new gameplay trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ was released. It reveals the androids and some great gameplay.

At E3 2017, one of the biggest surprises was the announcement of Dragon Ball FighterZ. There were rumors and rumblings of a new Dragon Ball Z game, but we didn’t expect what we got. Coming from Arc System Works, developer of the Guilty Gear franchise, this fighting game looks extremely action-packed. Then again, when you see any form of the series, the developer is the perfect fit. Based on what we’ve seen, the game is overwhelmingly fast-paced and full of incredible combos. We get more of that in the new trailer, which reveals the androids making their way to the playable roster.

If you grew up watching Dragon Ball Z, without a doubt you’ll remember these characters. Both Android 16 and Android 18 (along with Android 17) will be playable. They seem to have a unique skill-set as well. What we enjoy the most is how different each fighter looks and fights, which will offer a ton of variety.

Piccolo and Krillin are also joining the playable roster. This is something we expected already though, being they’re both very popular characters and recognizable amongst the fanbase.

Besides the fighting aspect, the game will include an interesting story. As of right now, the details seem to be very minimal. The end of the trailer does hint at a forbidden and never before told story, so that’s intriguing.

Dragon Ball FighterZ was one of the biggest surprises of this past E3. Now, at Gamescom, it continues to impress and surprise us with great gameplay trailers. We’re sure we’ll be seeing and learning more soon.

Dragon Ball FighterZ launches in February of 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
