3. RAW Tag Team Championship Match

Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins def. Sheamus & Cesaro

Match time: 18:35

Okay, let’s just go ahead and get this out of the way at the start. Cesaro running into the crowd and popping the beach ball that they were bouncing around is the stuff that legends are made of. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the show and without Braun Strowman, it may have taken the top spot. It was so freaking good.

Oh yes, there was a match to go along with that awesomeness and it was a very good match. Rollins was channeling some nWo Wolfpac with his gear but it looked pretty sweet (I was going to say “too sweet” but didn’t want to get too cheesy) and watching him and Ambrose really team up once again was fun to watch, especially with the crowd as hot as they were for this one. They had the advantage early on but the tide was turned when Sheamus hit a huge Brogue Kick on Ambrose on the floor and the champs worked over the former Shield members for a few minutes.

Rollins took some punishment but Ambrose came in off the hot tag and did his thing for a bit before some great double-team maneuvers, including a Hart Attack-looking clothesline. They had their turn on offense before the tide turned again in the champions’ favor. They hit a double Razor’s Edge but Rollins made the save on the nearfall. The last few minutes of this match were incredible and the Brooklyn audience was really into it. Rollins hit a hurricanrana from the top on Cesaro, who went right into Sheamus in a very cool spot. A few superkicks and a Dirty Deeds later, Rollins and Ambrose were the new champions and celebrated with another fist bump in the center of the ring. This match was a lot of fun but it actually wasn’t the best tag match of the night.
