Fighter Pack 2 has been revealed for Injustice 2. DC villain Black Manta, Mortal Kombat’s Raiden, and Hellboy are all joining the roster.

For all of you Injustice 2 enthusiasts, you now have even more reason to play the game. On Wednesday, a trailer for the game focused on the new DLC content, Fighter Pack 2. A new DC character will be joining the roster. You may know him as one of the main Aquaman villains, Black Manta. A familiar character will also be joining the fray, that being Raiden from the Mortal Kombat series. However, the most surprising reveal is the half-demon, Hellboy. We didn’t expect this, but we aren’t complaining either.

Hellboy was almost a DC Comics property. DC loved the idea, but didn’t like the fact that it dealt with hell. So, eventually, Dark Horse Comics became the publisher. Hellboy being a playable character is, in some ways, very random. In a game like this though, he fits perfectly well. In fact, it’s almost too good to be true.

There may be some fans who aren’t to fond of this addition. Then again, being that it’s developed by NetherRealm Studios, the same developer behind Mortal Kombat, anything is possible. If Mortal Kombat characters can be integrated into this universe, then anything can work.

Sadly, there’s still no gameplay footage for the characters. We don’t know how each of them will play. Of course, Raiden is an exception since he’s been around for years. However, when it comes to Black Manta and Hellboy, it’s still a mystery.

We assume Black Manta will be a rangy fighter, firing projectiles from afar. Hellboy is a hulking figure, so he’ll more than likely be a tank character who focuses on defense and power moves.
