Houston Texans: J.J. Watt
The Houston Texans were lucky to have one of the best receivers in the league with Andre Johnson on their roster for much of the 2000’s, but it doesn’t get much better than one of the greatest defensive ends in the league: J.J. Watt.
Watt has an incredible build in real life, and obviously that impressive frame translates well to the video game world when EA Sports goes to create players in Madden. The Texans star almost looks like a robot or a person built in a lab with different parts when you see him on the field in the game, especially with his arm brace making it look like he has a robotic arm.
With his size and aggressiveness off of the line, Watt is a great edge setter, which is to be expected when you earn a 99 overall rating in the game for three straight years. Watt dropped to a 98 overall this year after injuries plagued his year in the 2016 season, but he’s been a consistently fun player to utilize in the game.
His 97 strength in last year’s edition of the game made him almost unstoppable when you added in his 93 awareness, and injuries actually benefited him in a weird way when it came to his stats, as they actually stayed exactly the same throughout the entire year for fans to enjoy.
For a little added fun with Watt, you’ve able to throw him on offense in Madden Ultimate Team over the last couple of years and use his size to wreak havoc on defenses around the league. As if he wasn’t enough of a threat on the defensive side of the ball, you get the chance to utilize him in plenty of fashions in your lineup.
