Baltimore Ravens

, AFC North

It has been quite an interesting offseason for the Baltimore Ravens, who are crawling their way towards the regular season. Starting quarterback Joe Flacco is still not healthy, and that means that it is the Ryan Mallett Show heading into the season. The news is that Flacco will be ready for Week 1, which is the best news any Ravens fan can hear at this point.

If Flacco is healthy, the offense should be able to put points on the board. The team brought in Jeremy Maclin at wide receiver this offseason, giving the team a nice three-headed monster in Maclin, Breshad Perriman, and Mike Wallace. Maxx Williams has proven to have some big-play ability from the tight end spot this Summer, giving Flacco another solid option in the passing game.

On defense, keep an eye on the Ravens secondary, as they have the talent to be very good this season. The team drafted Alabama cornerback Marlon Humphrey this past April, and he is pushing for a starting job. At safety, the combination of Tony Jefferson and Eric Weddle should be one of the best in the division, where the Ravens could make some serious noise if they can stay healthy.

Flacco has proven he can win the big game, and with Le’Veon Bell still not in Steelers camp, the Ravens could sneak up and win the division. The Ravens are going to play defense, and be in some tight games, and it will be up to them to eek a few of them out this season. Head coach John Harbaugh is one of the best in the game, so despite the issues this offseason, he will have his team ready to go in Week 1.
