The start time of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor could be delayed because of the PPV issues the event was having
Just like everyone had suspected would happen, Saturday night right as the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor broadcast got underway it was revealed that there were some serious issues with ordering the actual PPV. Throughout the night as the event has gone on, it seems that these problems have persisted. Well, now there could be another issue at hand.
It seems as if the issues that everyone was having with ordering the actual pay-per-view will now affect what time the two get in the ring with one another for the main event. Darren Rovell tweeted that ESPN colleague Sal Paolantonio is saying the start time for the fight could be delayed because of the ordering issues.
Is it frustrating to see something like that? Of course it is, especially for people on the east coast who will be watching this event into Sunday. However, from a business standpoint, you could see where they would stall the beginning of the main event in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
When it comes to any combat sports event, everyone always wants to know when the main event will actually begin. With undercard bouts in both boxing and MMA, this is always tough to gauges, so it’s had to say just how long they will actually stall for. Hopefully it won’t be too long, as we have waited long enough to see these two go one-on-one with each other.
Nothing more that we can do here on Saturday night, though, then just wait some more to see the biggest spectacle in the history of combat sports.
