5. Robin Lopez, Chicago Bulls + Muppet

They say owners choose dogs that look like them. And while this might now always ring true, it kind of, sort of, does for the Chicago Bulls’ Center, Robin Lopez, and his pup Muppet. Really, it’s the hair thing – both oozing big, voluminous, defined brown curls.

Robin, who already is a cat dad to the Garfield-esque, Prince Edward, has another furry friend, one who will help him celebrate National Dog Day. Cleverly and fitting, Lopez named his canine companion Muppet and the Internet can’t get enough of it. And neither can we. Seriously, the dog is adorable and brimming with personality. When the two aren’t jamming out with their JBL headphones, they’re competing in Snapchat doodle challenges. Han Rolo and Mubacca? Nailed it.
Robin, being the wonderful dog dad that he is, also arranged for Muppet to meet his hero, the Chicago Bulls’ mascot, Benny The Bull. The meeting took place this past April as Muppet joined Robin at his exit interview after the Bulls bowed to the Celtics in six during the first round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs. For the occasion, Muppet rocked his #SeeRed Bulls t-shirt. When he wasn’t posing for photos with Benny, he was wrapped up in Robin’s arm looking like an actual muppet.
