In a battle of unbeaten teams, the Denver Broncos will play host to the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 preseason action on Saturday night.

The Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers have gotten out to 2-0 starts this preseason, and will turn to their starters for this Week 3 matchup. The Week 3 of the preseason is usually when fans get to see the starters for most of the first half, with some playing into the third quarter. Veterans who have already made the team do not usually play in Week 4, so this is the final tuneup for some before the regular season.

For the second Summer in a row, Trevor Siemian has beaten out the competition to win the starting quarterback job. Former first rounder Paxton Lynch tried to wrestle the job from Siemian, but even a new head coach could not send Siemian to the bench. Siemian had a decent year as the team’s starter in 2016, and should take the next step forward in 2017.

The Green Bay Packers were left for dead at 4-6 last season, until quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the team on a six-game winning streak to close out the regular season. The Rodgers Magic lasted until the NFC Championship Game, where the team was beaten soundly by the Atlanta Falcons. The Packers should be one of the better teams in the NFC once again in 2017, as they added a couple big weapons this offseason.

This game could wind up being a matchup of playoff teams, so the quality of football should be great through at least the first half. Rodgers proved last season that he is still one of the best in the business, and Siemian has defied the odds once again this Summer. Look for this one to be competitive through the first half, before the starters give way to those looking to make the team.
