Toronto Argonauts vs. Calgary Stampeders live stream: Watch CFL online
By Adam Stocker
The Calgary Stampeders host the Toronto Argonauts at McMahon Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 26. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
After beating the BC Lions 21-17, the Calgary Stampeders remain one point behind provincial rival Edmonton for first place in the West. Toronto regained first place in the East after dominating the Montreal 38-6.
After missing the previous game with a shoulder injury, Toronto quarterback Ricky Ray returned and was fantastic, throwing for 377 yards and four touchdowns. S.J. Green continues to be Ray’s first choice receiving, with 56 catches, 850 yards and five touchdowns, a year after tearing his ACL. Injuries have been a problem for the Toronto defense who are already without defensive linemen Victor Butler and Cleyon Laing. The Argos lost starting corner Akwasi Owusu-Ansah to injury against Montreal and he is unlikely to play against Calgary.
Almost half way through the CFL season and the Stampeders have the best defense in the league by a wide margin. The Stamps are allowing only 20.25 points per game, more than four points better than the next team. Canadian Alex Singleton has been excellent at middle linebacker, ranking fourth in the league with 52 tackles. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell has been solid but has not played at the same level he did last season when he won Most Outstanding Player.
