The 137th playing of the U.S. Open will begin this week in New York. What channel will it be broadcasted on and how can one watch the tennis event online?

For the 137th time, the U.S. Open will be played, showcasing the finest tennis players the world has to offer. It will begin at UTSA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday, Aug. 28 at 11:00 a.m. ET. This is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the 2017 professional tennis season.

While two of the top men’s tennis players will not be playing in this event, including reigning champion Stan Wawrinka, it should be an exciting tournament nevertheless. The women’s singles events have been all sorts of chaotic with top player Serena Williams sitting out the last three Grand Slams due to her pregnancy. She did win the 2017 Australian Open at the start of the season.

With Wawrinka and Serbian tennis phenom Novak Djokovic out, does this mean top player Roger Federer can win three of the four Grand Slams this year? He did sit out the French Open, which went to his rival Rafael Nadal, due to ailing knees on clay. Maybe Nadal wins on the hard court in New York in the middle of September?

So how does one go about watching the 2017 U.S. Open? What channel will it be on and were is an available live stream? Since the U.S. Open is in the midst of an 11-year contract with ESPN, the two-week tennis major will be on ESPN for its entirety. You can get the available live stream either at WatchESPN or on FuboTV.
