Floyd Mayweather did what he was expected to in knocking out (TKO) Conor McGregor, but how much money did he make from the fight?

There’s not much that Floyd Mayweather Jr. does these days unless it’s going to pay him a great deal. So for him to come out of retirement to fight Conor McGregor, a UFC star crossing over, he was obviously set for a payday that would be massive. However, the two personalities combined to make it even bigger.

As one of the more charismatic boxers in the modern era and easily the most entertaining UFC fighter ever, Mayweather vs. McGregor captured everyone’s interest. The question for fans not in Las Vegas everywhere around the world was “where are you watching the fight?”

Ultimately, Mayweather looked like the veteran boxer. McGregor held his own for some time, making it far more interesting than many expected. But at the same time, he showed his novice abilities late and that’s when Mayweather pounced and earned a TKO victory.

But the real question is how much money did the now 50-0 Floyd Mayweather make in the fight. As reported by MMA Junkie, the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced that Mayweather would receive a minimum of $100 million for the fight.

As if that wasn’t enough money, that’s just the baseline. With pay-per-view buys, ticket sales and so on adding to that total in a likely big way, Mayweather likely will clear some $150 million when it’s all said and done. Regardless, he’s still sporting a zero in the loss column and still getting paid.
