Sam Darnold

QB, USC

When it comes to the 2018 NFL Draft class, all eyes are going to be on the quarterback position. That isn’t to say they aren’t every year, but with Sam Darnold leading his class, this one is going to be the most anticipated in some time.

The USC quarterback quickly took the NCAA by storm last year and led the Trojans back to prominence with a huge win in the Rose Bowl, Now, USC is back on track and is once again in the National Championship discussion.

He only lost once last season and that was in his first start under center against a good Utah team. He also made a miraculous throw to knock off Colorado at home during the season, which was just one play of his many heroics.

Darnold finished the season with 3,086 yards and a 67.2 completion percentage. Even more impressively held a touchdown-to-interception ration of 31/9. He placed the ball well and took advantage of the talented receivers he had around him.

He can make all the throws and has poise that is beyond his years. Pressure isn’t something that is too big for him and he has a chance to elevate his legend even more if he can put together a strong season. He’s arguably No. 1 on every big board for a reason to start the year.
