The Michigan Wolverines will be taking the field for the opener on Saturday like they never have before
As Week 1 of the college football season approaches, we’ve heard constant whispers that the Michigan Wolverines would be sporting a different look when they take on the Florida Gators on Saturday in Dallas inside AT&T Stadium. More specifically, we’ve heard that Jim Harbaugh’s team would be donning all-maize uniforms, which truly would be a sight to behold.
Well on Monday, just five days before Michigan and Florida will square off in a huge Big Ten vs. SEC battle to begin the season, it was confirmed that the Wolverines will be out there auditioning for the NFL Color Rush.
In addition to the uniforms, the Jordan brand has released a new Michigan edition of the Jordan Trainer 2, which you can view in the Nike link above in the gallery link they provide in the announcement.
When it comes to college football, especially when you’re talking about traditional powerhouses, uniforms are one of the hottest topics you can discuss. When it comes to the Michigan Wolverines, we’ve learned in the past that any uniform changes away from their traditional blue and whites is met with some resistance. So with the Wolverines set to be the latest football team being compared to mustard bottles on the field this Saturday, you can bet there will be some angry folks out there.
To add to the Color Rush narrative, it was also announced that Florida will be taking part in the Color Rush as well on their side, as they’ll be rocking the all-blue color in Dallas.
