Wake Forest Demon Deacons 0-0

Last week: N/A
Last rank: N/A

After a strong start to the year in 2016 that saw them go 4-0, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons couldn’t keep up with the hot pace they started the season with. Now, they’ll look to replicate the big beginning they had last year, but actually try and stick with it this go around.

Unfortunately for Wake Forest, they’ll have to go to war with Florida State and Clemson back-to-back during the year, and they’ll have to deal with Louisville just two weeks later. For now, they can have some fun to start the year, but it doesn’t look good for the Demon Deacons heading into 2017.

North Carolina Tar Heels 0-0

Last week: N/A
Last rank: N/A

The North Carolina Tar Heels had a huge offense to work with the last few years, notably led by Mitch (or Mitchell, if you like to be formal) Trubisky, but now they’re looking to rebuild with a new quarterback and not as many weapons in their lineup.

The team will have a tough matchup to worry about in a battle with Louisville, but they’ll at least get a chance to warm up with a game against California on Saturday to see if they’re ready to do battle with the Cardinals. Their season could go off of the rails quickly, but some big wins the next two weeks could make the season a lot more interesting for the Tar Heels.
