All-time All-ACC NBA Mock Draft
By Ynal Al-Ouri
It’s very difficult to truly evaluate a player who played in the early 1950s, but the numbers Lennie Rosenbluth put up are eye popping. In his three seasons with the Tar Heels, Rosenbluth averaged 26.9 points, and 10.4 rebounds. At first glance one may think those numbers were by a dominant big man, but Rosenbluth was actually a 6-foot-4 guard/forward hybrid. Granted these numbers were at a time where players were not nearly as athletically gifted or strong as they are now, it is still impressive that a player of his stature was able to dominant the boards to this magnitude. His play helped guide North Carolina to a National Championship, and he was also named a consensus first-team All-American.
Similar to Cunningham, teams would have to get a bit creative with Rosenbluth’s size and play style. He would have to adjust to playing mostly as a shooting guard due to his size, but he could be a pleasant surprise there with his rebounding ability. There will also be major question marks on how he will be able to create separation on the offensive end, but one would think he could figure things out after averaging 28 points per game his last season in Durham. It’s unfair to expect Rosenbluth to be able to be a prolific scorer in today’s NBA as he was in college, but he could end up surprising a lot of people in today’s NBA. That’s what the bottom tier of this draft should be about.
