Adidas continues to innovate with its release of the UltraBOOST Laceless
By Tim Ryan
It’s already been a banner year for adidas and the brand is about to take things up a notch yet again with its release of the hassle-free UltraBOOST Laceless sneaker.
If you’ve been paying any attention at all to the stock market over the last six months or even over the last week, you’ll know that adidas has been on fire and made some serious strides toward knockin’ on Nike’s door.
That’s come with relentless innovation and a staunch refusal to sit still. Whether we’re talking about breaking into the NHL uniform game, incredible customized cleats, new college football uniforms or anything YEEZY, it seems to be something at least once a week.
This week, it’s the release of the adidas UltraBOOST Laceless sneaker.
Try not to drool on the keyboard or your phone. It’ll prove to be costly, trust me.
The red and black combo is more than fine, but the triple whites are off the charts.
When it comes to sneakers, more often than not I lean towards a clean look with minimal aesthetics and the triple whites are certainly delivering the goods in that capacity, and then some.
Gold, Jerry, gold!
Below are some specifics, including a quote from Stephan Schneider, Senior Product Manager of adidas Running:
"With innovation and creativity at the heart of adidas’ DNA, today marks a landmark occasion for the brand which, with the launch of its first-ever laceless performance running silhouette, continues to challenge convention and once again sets new boundaries […]“In removing laces, such a fundamental component of the silhouette, refinement of the remaining core elements was paramount. We reimagined the Primeknit architecture, making it more supportive and compressive to enable runners to feel released and empowered to achieve their full potential. What we have created is the most intuitive UltraBOOST yet and a new chapter in the history of our family.”"
The key takeaway here is “challenging convention” by ultimately simplifying the process of putting on a pair of shoes while at the same time maintaining the high UltraBOOST standard that everyone has to come to know and love.
And BUY.

I know, I know. Tying your shoes should hardly be a “stressor” for a grown adult, but it’s one less thing to do in a fast-paced life and one less thing to possibly trip over.
Much more importantly, however, is that it makes for a much cleaner look.
Speaking of, here’s one last look.
The adidas UltraBOOST Laceless will be available on adidas.com starting Friday, Sept. 1 and will cost you $200.
