Browns at Bears live stream: TV schedule, time and more

GLENDALE, AZ - AUGUST 19: Mitchell Trubisky
GLENDALE, AZ - AUGUST 19: Mitchell Trubisky

The Chicago Bears will finish up their preseason at home on Thursday, as they welcome the Cleveland Browns to Soldier Field.

During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns brought in new quarterbacks. The Bears traded up to take Mitchell Trubisky with the No. 2 overall pick, while the Browns selected DeShone Kizer in the second round. As the two men head into the 2017 regular season, Kizer will get the nod for the Browns, while Trubisky will hold the clipboard behind Mike Glennon.

It is not as if Trubisky did not do enough to win the job this Summer, but the team spent a lot of money bringing Glennon in to be their starter this season. It will be interesting  to see how long they sit Trubisky behind Glennon, considering Trubisky started only 13 games in his collegiate career. The Bears have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Jordan Howard, who finished second in the league in rushing as a rookie last season.

Starting Kizer seems like the right move for the Browns, who were looking like they were going to start Brock Osweiler at quarterback in Week 1. Kizer has done everything head coach Hue Jackson has asked this Summer, and more than earned the job in his first preseason and training camp. The Browns are not the pushover franchise they once were, and while they will not be a playoff team in 2017, they are starting to add key pieces to the puzzle.

Week 4 of the preseason means that those players who are on the edge of being cut will get their final chance to earn a roster spot. The teams cut down from 90 players, to 53, as they get ready to kick off their 2017 regular season next weekend. Both of these teams are not expected to be playoff contenders, but they each have some dynamic, young talented players.
