The New York Giants head to Foxborough on Thursday night to battle the New England Patriots. Check here where you can watch the game.

It’s been quite the few days for the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Between a 30-28 win over the Detroit Lions to the unfortunate loss of wide receiver Julian Edelman to a torn ACL to the decision to part ways with defensive end Kony Ealy (now a member of the New York Jets). The latter was obtained in a trade with the Carolina Panthers this offseason as Bill Belichick’s club looked to improve their pass rush.

The New York Giants have no such problem when it gets to the other team’s quarterback. But what has been a problem is the team’s offensive failures this preseason. Yes, Ben McAdoo’s club put 32 points on the board in a win over the New York Jets. But the club only managed only one offensive touchdown in three preseason tilts this year.

Of course, we don’t really expect to see a big-time showdown between Eli Manning and Tom Brady in this Thursday night tilt. Still, the Giants would like to see their running game and offensive line get some work in and show some improvement. It’s been a major problem for the Big Blue this year. And one week from Thursday night, the Patriots kick off the NFL’s 98th season vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
