The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide will square off with the No. 3 Florida State Seminoles in a clash of the titans in Week 1. Here are the live highlights.

It’s Labor Day weekend in America. That’s means it’s time to kickoff the college football season. The 2017 NCAA season has several great games on tap in Week 1. However, there are none bigger than the one happening in Atlanta between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida State Seminoles.

No. 1 Alabama will play No. 3 Florida State in the 2017 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff at brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Kickoff will be at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night. ABC will have the national broadcast of this must-see college football game.

When do you get two blue-blood programs of this caliber duking it out at a neutral site on Labor Day weekend? What makes this game so intriguing is that both the Crimson Tide and the Seminoles could theoretically meet again in the 2018 College Football Playoff. The 2017 National Championship will be in the same building in downtown Atlanta.

Alabama is coming off its third straight SEC Championship and trip to the College Football Playoff. In the last two years, Alabama has played Florida State’s biggest ACC Atlantic rival in the Clemson Tigers in the National Championship. While Alabama won it all in 2015, last year the Crimson Tide lost on the final play to Deshaun Watson’s Tigers.

Florida State won the final BCS National Championship over Alabama’s arch rival Auburn Tigers in 2013. The Seminoles would make the inaugural College Football Playoff, but would be outmatched by Marcus Mariota’s Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl national semifinal game. With Clemson in a bit of a reload, maybe the Seminoles win the ACC for the third time in five years in 2017?
