Tom Herman’s forgettable debut

It was a day that everyone had been waiting to see for the Texas Longhorns. Coming into the season ranked, there was plenty of hype surrounding the Longhorns and what they could accomplish this year and going forward.

Instead, they lost a bad one at home to Maryland and Texas football certainly was not back. With the Longhorns ending up on the short end of things once again, the memes were pretty ruthless surrounding them.

The best meme of all perhaps was the state of Texas colored in with the Maryland logo. If that doesn’t scream what the true purpose of what memes are, then no other meme out there really possibly can.

While it was always going to take time for Herman and the Longhorns to adjust, this is a game they had the talent to take at home. Instead, they let Maryland come right into their stadium and take care of business.

The King of the Hill meme can’t be understated either. At least in that particular episode they lost a tough one to Nebraska at the bitter end. The Longhorns had to rally and then end up losing by double digits.
