Yes, there were plenty of other happenings in college football on Saturday. One of the most intriguing games of the day was USC facing an upset bid on the road from the Western Michigan Broncos.
They even had identical box scores through three quarters when the game was tied at 21 apiece. In fact, RedditCFB, who had a rough day with their subreddit going down to a technical glitch, provided everyone with this beauty of a slot machine.
That however can’t be overstated by the giant chain in the Miami game. Yes, players get to wear the largest gold chain known to man for forcing turnovers on the field. Talk about a major incentive.

Lastly, Nick Saban sitting on the iron throne is all too fitting. With the biggest challenge on tap to begin the season, the Crimson Tide fought hard all the way to a huge 24-7 victory in Atlanta over the Florida State Seminoles.
When it comes to college football head coaches, Saban does indeed sit on the iron throne. Saturday night, his team came out prepared and with an intensity that stayed all four quarters. It was a masterful coaching job yet again.
