Here’s how to watch Sunday’s clash between the No. 21 Virginia Tech Hokies and No. 22 West Virginia Mountaineers from FedExField online.

The Black Diamond Trophy will be at stake for the first time since 2005 when the No. 21 Virginia Tech Hokies take on the No. 22 West Virginia Mountaineers on Sunday night at FedExField.

West Virginia holds a 28-22-1 advantage in the all-time series, which was played annually from 1973 to 2005. Sunday’s clash will be the first between the two rivals in over a decade, and stands out as one of the best matchups of 2017 opening weekend.

Second-year head coach Justin Fuente has the Hokies in contention for another ACC Coastal title following an impressive 10-4 campaign. While redshirt freshman quarterback Josh Jackson is a bit of a question mark, the Hokies return most of a terrific defensive unit, including dynamic playmaking brothers Tremaine and Terrell Edmunds.

West Virginia also enters the season with top-25 hype and conference title hopes following a 10-3 season that matched its best under seventh-year head coach Dana Holgorsen. Running back Justin Crawford leads one of the deepest backfields in the country, and the Mountaineers are expecting an improvement under center with Florida transfer quarterback Will Grier, who hasn’t played in nearly two years due to a suspension.

Sunday’s game begins at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on ABC, with full streaming details available below.

Oddsmakers are projecting a fairly close game between two teams right next to each other in the rankings, as SportsbookReview.com currently pegs the Hokies as a four-point favorite. With all the inexperience on offense for both teams, particularly at wide receiver, the over/under is set at just 53 points, although both Fuente and Holgorsen are capable of getting the most out of their talent.
