Winner – Jim Mora

The biggest winner or the luckiest horseshoe of the week goes to Jim Mora. For the better part of three quarters, it looked like Mora might as well pack it in and begin to dust of his resume. Instead, Josh Rosen saved his coach and put on the one of the greatest comebacks in college football history.

Trailing 44-10, it looked like UCLA was dead in the water. The team couldn’t do anything and Rosen was taking an absolute beating on the field, with hit after hit absolutely coming his way each play.

Instead, they slowly began to chip away and erased a 27-point deficit in the final frame to complete the comeback. Now, Mora and his crew have a spark to rally around this could really lift them going forward after a win over an SEC opponent.

Now, it’s not a winning strategy to fall behind, but a win is a win and over a good opponent at that. Mora has the talent to succeed at UCLA and with Rosen ready to set everything ablaze after this one, things are looking up for him.

After all, it takes real guts to call for a fake spike with less than a minute on the clock with the game on the line. It’s all about taking risks to succeed in college football and he did just that on Sunday night.
